I thought this would be a 5min jobbie too  :grin: All I wanted to do was spray it black. I Broke the pins off removing the captive washers

They were probably fixed as such to overcome the craze when VW badge theft was rife !

Anyhow to save a few pennies I've Areldited some thread where the pins used to be and will fasten them in-place with nuts.
