Happy New Year + forum down time 2nd Jan 2012
« on: 01 January 2012, 19:38 »
Happy New Year forum friends!

Hope you had a good Christmas and New Year break.

The forum will be 10 years old in May this year, where did the time go?! Thanks to all the people that continue to make this forum worthwhile.

I am looking to take the forum on a bit this year, this is my rough to-do list:

The server it runs on needs replacing. - done 2/1/12

The forum software needs upgrading.

The design is starting to look quite stale, time for a refresh.

A few new features are long over due.

and plenty more to do...

So, to get off with a bang in 2012, I am going to do a load of boring admin and server migration stuff on it tomorrow.

GolfGTIforum.co.uk will be unavailable from 12 midday 2nd January and most likely for the rest of the day - depends how well things go!

Happy new year, any ideas on the new layout/theme will be? I quite like it and find it easy to use compared to most other forums :undecided:

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

Yeah, please don't mess with the layout too much.....of all the forums I go on from time to time this one is by far the easiest to navigate.

Hope all goes well tomorrow
