Is my car already mapped?

Picked up a 130 tdi mk4 yesterday and don't know if it's already been remapped. I had a 1.8t mk4 for ages and that was running 198 bhp and this seams like its already got alot of grunt. If it turns out not to have been done I'd like to get it sorted.

Is there a way to tell?

It will feel grunty because of twice the amount of torque lol

lol well mine is 210bhp and i can kill anythin upto 280bhp petrol. its mad how quick tdi,s are  :laugh:

Be serious my leon cupra tdi was 200bhp and if it went against a 200bhp petrol the petrol would win all day long as they have about 3000 more revs.. dont get me wrong it was not slow and had loads of grunt but i would love to see you race a 280bhp petrol and win.. not doubting just saying from my experience

iv raced some cars now since iv had the car and its been at this power for 6 years.
raced some chap in a volvo not so long ago who sed his was 250 bhp 175mph top end and i left him easy he was shocked. also raced n won over the years are golf r32,vectra 3.2,scoobys,rx7,clio 182,some 260bhp nissan at donny n loads more, only car that pulled away very slow was a white evo 5 in cannock.
ether all them cars are running under power or they was not even tryin but all have pulled up to me and asked what i got under the hood.

more than welcome to meet up with some 1 in my area to race if they want to prove me wrong but im just goin what iv raced over the years.

As would I....my Mk4 is running a little over 205bhp & 245lb/ft so similar power to his and a little less torque. There's no way I'd be able to leave a 250bhp volvo capable of 175mph 'easily' so in theory he'd spank me....in reality I think it'd be a different story!

I feel a trip to the pod coming on :grin:

Must wait till my new tyres first.. I'm only running 175bhp but have weight on my side
