bikes are the best mate ;) you should get one

if you have some bike experience then tbh you could do your test with no lessons or like 1 lesson. if you have no experience then you might need a fair bit tbh :/ definitely worth doing though, bikes are insanely good fun and cheap as chips

erm, who told you that they are cheap to run  :undecided:

insurance ISNT cheap for new riders

Tyres, £170 a pair + and can be shot in 4000 miles.

brake discs

add in ya kit, helmet etc

X2 if ya wanna ride all year.

starting from scratch £ for £ a cheap runabout car can be a LOT cheaper

thats a good point ^^ haha, forgot about the extras

my helmet was like £600, gloves and boots where about £200 each, leathers werent to bad
tyres are expensive but last fine depending on what you use the bike for and what tyres you get. i use my bikes purely for fun so i run on bt016s which are pretty much legal race tyres and they last 5 minutes, but when i used it as a daily i had other tyres which lasted over a year

i commuted 65 miles each way on my bike for 6 months,

went thru a set of tyres in just over a month.

it worked out cheaper to run a car when you worked out how much the consumables cost to replace  :lipsrsealed:

Knowing how Chuff used to ride his bike am surprised they lasted 1k let alone 4k :lipsrsealed:
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...
