Can anyone on here weld that lives near me?
« on: 31 December 2011, 02:10 »
I have a mk3 golf which needs welding, it has rusted away on the inner and outer sills and a bit of the floor pan, the drivers door also has a hole in it but that isn't that important as if I have to I'll buy another door.

Is there anyone on here near me that could do it? paid of course. I'd be looking at getting it done around end of Jan.

Failing that I'd be looking at renting a barn or large garage near me to do the work myself if anyone has one to rent?

   I've only just bought it!!! I want to put it back on the road as it's a colour concept and I like the interior, it matches the interior of my mates M5 as well, which is funny as it annoys him that in his words "I've only got a vw and he's got a 400hp 5.0 litre aluminium V8 powered rwd German super saloon and I'm trying to copy it"

It's also been lowered, got a sports exhaust, angle eyes and upgraded front brakes so saves me doing the work to another one, if you'd seen the amount of work I done to my Astra to mot it you would have wondered if I'd gone mad, I don't like letting a car die even if it's not really worth the work.
