does anyone know where i can get any service and repair information on the vw 2.0 ATM engine?

What's it in?

I suspect it might be one of the many variants of the 2.0 8V crossflow.

if it;s a crossflow 8v   over haul is more or less as per the other 2.0 an 1.8  8 valves   about the easyest engine there is to take to bits and put together

engine is in vw sharan 2002 its my sisters car think she going 2 take it garage now

Sounds like it to me.

such a simple motor to service.  if it's not a major interval it's just oil and filters.  Take reg to any factor and they should get the right bits out for you.
