I'd be interested to see what Ed35 owners are getting, as a comparision to the R which at the moment is struggling to get above 30mpg.

Hi, I started this thread in my 35 and its improving. I fit into the category that dubber36 described though.

Yeah don't we know it, second stupid thread you've started FFS.

Oh dear here we go again...........................

Happens to us all from time to time, for my benefit what what your first stupid thread?

The one where he's whining that he didn't get an Edition 35 keyring with his car.

I've got it now thanks for asking!

Remap and 98/99RON fuel seem to make quite a difference to mpg.

The second one is from my trip home this morning it was about 15 miles.  Like I said I think mine is broken.
Well something not right if your water temp is only that high after 15 miles, unless you have taken pic 10 mins after you have finished journey

It was taken like 45 mins to an hour after my drive so the engine had time to cool down to this temp.
If you haven't seen the future you haven't driven fast enough!!!!

Just to say, from Strathaven to Braehead tonight I averaged 50.3 mpg according to the display. That was sticking at a faily gentle 60mph where legal and 30mph where not.

GTI's can get great MPG I have seen 48 once on my MK6 and 46 once on my ED30 just to see what it could do if I tried. However that was the one and only time in each and the real world average for both over the time I have owned them is 35 for the MK6 and 32 for the ED30 so I am expecting 32 out of the ED35.

Gone: Edition 35, GTI Mk6, Edition 30, GTI Mk4, GTI Mk3, GTI Mk2 and my favourite the UR quattro
For those that dont know DSG is an electronically controlled dual-clutch multiple-shaft manual gearbox

32 is a good shout. My 35 has dropped a bit due to the inclement weather etc but thats to be expected. My run to work is avg. late 30's but that drops when going around town.

TBH I used to drive my ED30 harder than the MK6 as it was more focused and the engine had a come on let's go to the max character to it  This is the biggest thing I miss about the ED30 and is the character I will get from the ED35. I don't really care that the MPG will be worse in the ED35 as my grin will be huge!
