CV joint - Average cost of new OEM
« on: 29 December 2011, 16:45 »
Replaced my offside passenger CV about 8 weeks ago, end of Oct as it had a split it. Was considering putting my new decat exhaust on today...got under the car noticed it has split again!? After so little time...WTF? How could this happen...Noticed that had come free at the larger end, the engine side of the gator.

How would this happen/why and what would the cost of a garage be to replace this as a mate helped me replace it last time with all the correct tools etc...

thanks

Thanks mate, I'll bear in the mind the OE ones. How long can I continue with it split? As I doubt I'll be able to get it done til atleast the 3rd now! Ummm, and I will still need to use the car...probably 100miles tops?

Will be getting this replaced ASAP. Just wondering on the cost of an OEM boot as I know the one that is on there at the mo is a 'universal' stretch boot...Just don't want to get ripped off!
