Dilbert's mk4 golf 1.8 20v
« on: 28 December 2011, 18:08 »
Bought the car off a friend for a bargain price of £250  135,000miles on the clock but had a front ender and clutch was gone !

the golf was remapped by r-tech, forge recirc valve, g60 flywheel with vr6 clutch. sports cat with powerflow exhaust system ( powersh!te exhaust drowns the car with noise, i hate it )

got to work on getting the front end off and gearbox out

new  g60 flywheels and sachs vr6 clutch

got a 2nd hand front end so i could get the car on the road

got it all insured and m.o.t :) and ended up down north weald air field vw meet

added a few other bits to the car, picked up a set of genuine r32 wheels for £80

also painted me calipers and fitted new discs n pads on the rear

picked up my new bonnet

welded and smoothed me rear tailgate.

fitted coilovers and whiteline arb

wrapped the radio surround in carbon vinyl

and fitted powerflex dogbone bushes

this is how its looking now, still got loads more to do ! feel free to comment :) cheers jamie

all fitted up, tailgate, rear valance, headlights, bonnet, r32 rep bumper, still gotta fit vents

looks good, pics are fine to me.
pm jv or report it to the mod and have them move it into the project section and keep us all updated.

only bad point for me is the bonnet, not a fan, but each to there own and all that. :)

My mates mate wanted £150 for them, I got there and 1 needed a tyre so he said £80.

He didn't know if they where genuine or not so it was a gamble, but when I got them back to work I scrubbed them clean and on the inside is printed VW OZ
