I find anything "bad" makes me glad I am evolved, and can occupy my time without the drivel.

This............. Although I use this forum too much... But then again I only abuse it when I actually cant do anything else.

It's been terrible, like the other day at 9 o'clock nothing good to watch at all, all soaps etc... What happened to films being on telly? I do wonder why I pay tv license at times.

In the end I settled with how its made... after 1 hour I said f this and streamed a film of the pc via the xbox.

Couldn't agree more. It's been dire! I remember past years where you would need to choose what you most wanted to watch, this year, quite often, I couldn't find anything I wanted to watch! As golf-sib said, where are the movies? You used to get some real blockbusters on at Christmas, this year we only had a couple of average children's movies on BBC Christmas Day. Thank god for streamed movies!
BTW, is there any way of watching streamed movies on tv without the letter-box type screen?

On xbox you can choose how the image is stretched and what format, I also have additional settings on the Sony telly letting me take control over the ratio's. Xbox does a very good job, my main telly is 32" and my pc monitor is 32", what the film looks like on the pc is somewhat pixely at spots, on xbox it is smoothed and sexy.

Jeeeeeebuz... one year they complain it's the same old sh!t year after year, that gets changed and now it's all sh!t and none of the good old 'specials' (reruns) they've played the last 15 years at Christmas time

I'd have sworn there is something else other than a telly to keep us entertained over the Christmas break  Take the kids/dog to the park, go for a walk, do some odd jobs around the house your missus has been nagging you to do, rearrange the living room... 3 times ... and end up as it was... start taking down the Christmas Decorations... There is plenty of other sh!t to do, honest.

My father does this.  A lot.

He has also recently retired (not that one would notice)
