Just got a mk2 8v and want to do a few things but iam a bit confused about engines
K-jet or Digi what do i have or how do i find out ?

please help !!!!!!!!!

The K-jet runs on a mechanical injection system which can be identified by a unit on top of the air box that has braided hoses coming off and going to the engine (these are the injector lines)

The Digi system is an electronic controlled injection system.

I will see if i can find some pictures of both for you.

Cheers guys definately a digi as it doesn't idle evenly !!!!!!!
as for the 16V ? sure its the car i want ?

Just started to mod as it runs amazingly. Last owner used the car for 10 yrs to do the school run/ shopping trip, maybe made 5000 mls a year tops !!!!!!

Anyway just got a K&N induction and looking at exhausts any recomendations

I've got a full Remus exhaust system and it is amazing.  Doesn't sound like a broken bus when driving around normally and sounds like a real sports car when giving it some!
