Audi A4 Quattro fault code
« on: 24 December 2011, 00:27 »
What is the likely cause of the following fault? could this fault flash up if the clutch is slipping?

17544 - Fuel Trim: Bank 1 (Add): System too Lean
        P1136 - 35-10 -  - - Intermittent

Audi A4 1.8T 150bhp, engine code AVJ.
Thanks for any help!

Thanks for the reply
I broke the news this morning, dad's car needs a new clutch, service and MOT, plus the MIL light has to be off for the MOT.
I hope his pockets are deep

An update on this.
Plugged the car into VAG com, took if for a drive and logged it. At idle and under load the mixture is bang on.
At worse the mixture at idle is 2-4% lean, it has to be at least 10% to trigger a fault code.
What is the likely cause of the light coming on? could a dodgey load of fuel cause it?
Cheers.

Thanks mate.
The code hasn't come back since i cleared it, and it has stayed off.
I read on ross tech that bank 2 fault is likely MAF sensor fault.
