Getting 8000k hid's
« on: 23 December 2011, 14:51 »
My old mans getting me 8000k hid's for Xmas, although I've looked on a couple of forums and people are saying they are too bright, I had them in my mk3 and never thought this, is it a lot different with a mk4?

The are illegal, or soon to be illegal, wether or not you think they are too bright. You may leave your self open to getting fined. I removed mine recently for this very reason. Personally I don't think mine were too bright and never got flashed or pulled but the law is the law unfortuantely. To use them legally they must be fitted to suitable projection headlamps, with self levelling and washers.

aside from them being illegal unless you do ALL the mods necessary... 8000k is flipping pointless. 6000k is the ideal temperature.

well done for giving us all a pre-crimbo laugh though
