Expensive time to go, we have decided we will go April-May 2013 rather than Christmas again as the flights are about £500 cheaper  :smiley:each !

Early April is good as you get to witness the carnage that is 'song kran' which is the Thai New year water festival. It's 3/4 days of pure madness and partying.

Already planned next years already! family's coming this time for two weeks then i'll probably stay another 3 weeks with mates.

have you booked koh samui, wasnt impressed with that really, seemed a weird place compared to everywhere else I went.

Is it busy in april etc then, as in like tourists?

Yes we will go to Samui again but we didn't stay in the busy/commercial part, we stayed in Bo Phut which is really nice, no girlie bars, no people hassling you all the time. There was loads of nice restaurants & bars a few shops but no seedy business. We are also going to stay on Koh Tao for a few days i think as we only did a day trip there which defo wasn't long enough.

Thailand is pretty much always busy with tourists
