abf wiring advice

I need help with my abf conversion I've got the engine in and wiring loom in but haven't got a clue where/how to wire in transponder box I'm thinkin of deimoblisin the ecu. As far as I know all wiring is ok but it won't even turn over have a missed something? I need a decent guide if anyone know of one I've searched but can't find a gd one

Sounds like you're quite a long way off the mark if it won't even turn over.  The starter circuit is separate to the management loom IIRC.  Sort that out and you'll at least be able to make a start.

The immobiliser only stops the spark, so everything should prime up and turn over just fine.

Do you have wiring diagrams?  You kinda need them to get things working!  :grin:

Sorted the startin issue the live to the starter motor was cut opps lol. Umm all I need is a guide for the transponder box I've done a search but can't see any

there is someting on this site its not a guide as such but I ve seen pictures and details when I was searching for info on the loom. think I searched abf wiring loom and stumbled across it. sorry cant help more just on my phone at the mo.

immob box IIRC

Green wire is K line for obd port
Black wire is data line to ECU
Browns 2x are ground
Red is ignition live

the other connector is the RFID pickup loop

tho on some ABF looms ( seat ) a diffrent colour set is used

but if you've got the rest of the wireing right it should start without the immob box it just dosent run for very long



all the VW's have gone bar 1.
