mk4 golf v5
« on: 22 December 2011, 12:23 »
I'm new to the mk4 (only have 1 as my mk2 has a issue and I'm fed up with keep paying out on it) I want to drop it a bit as It's standard any 1 know of what sort of suspension is any good - normal or Coilovers. Kinda on a budget - I mean by not spending 500+ on some
If any 1 could help i would be grateful.

Thanks

im in the process of doing the same and got some good advice from the guys on here

slightly lower but not affecting the ride quality, i was recommended the following:
- Bilstein B4 shocks (or Anni shocks)
- Eibach Pro Kit (-30mm drop)

i will probably look into some powerflex bushes as well at some point, and a lot of people seem to recommend a rear anti roll bar (apparently Whiteline do a good one)

hope that helps

And then add a rear anti roll bar for a sorted setup :afro:
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

£66 - you lucky boy! i cant seem to find anything on ebay under £120 at the moment. i think i may have to bit the bullet at some stage though as springs already ordered and due to be in the garage for fitting in jan

any one recommend any powerflex polyurethene bushes swapped at the same time to help out the handling? i have heard a few people say they are brilliant.

is a rear anti roll bar worth doing at the same time? i have heard they make the world of difference to the handling - best recommendations and advice?
