Do not cover fresh paint with any type of cover for a least 3 months! Covers can either react with the paint, or synthetic covers can eat into the paint, we have a cover for our Lola T70 that cost well over a grand, that did untold damage to paint that was 6months old at least! Luckily I was able to flat and polish the damage out, had it been a base and lacquer, it would have been ruined!

yup, my uncles e46 bmws faint faded and rust started forming on the bonnet, was a cheap cover either, bought it from halfords. when he looked online apparently there was LOADS of cars it was happening to.

and paint still cures for months after its been applied, just cos it feels dry doesnt mean its not still giving off moisture
