afternoon all ,just a quicky sent some items via royal mail other day headlights and a grill ,dudes got them today opened packaging up and both lights are fooked.but the grills ok,anyone know where i stand ?
have had a look on royal mail web and nothin statin i cant send glass items ,i also payed extra for enhanced comp,all help appreciated,and sorry if its been covered before ,did use search function lol,brett

imagine they will say its bad packing , needs to be packed like its gona be kicked and thrown around

ye thats what i thought just wondered if anyone had similar problem before as they shut at 2 ,and typical i was out till 3,cant do anything till mon morn ,cheers chaps,brett

k duga little deeper and should be covered upto £46 ,so will ring them mon am ,sorry for lame question was frothing both lights damaged but the debadged grill is fine lol,wtf

You are insured but its not a quick process,Pics of the damaged items will also help your case.

how well did you wrap em?

if you just put a bit of brown paper round em stuck down with selatape n stuck em in the system then you get wot you deserve imho,as everything goes through loads of machinery so of course they'll be damaged as glass items,badly wrapped verses f**k off macinery = damage!

but...

if you had bothered to wrap em in bubble wrap,and put em in a descent sturdy box then thats a different matter,and you should be compensated by which ever carrier has damaged em with their sorting machines.

Royal mail tend to pay anyone,no matter how iffy the claim ( :smug:),so i wouldnt worry about it,though as stated before,it might take a while
