MK4 GTI TURBO AGU NO SPARK ON NO.3 CYLINDER????? PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hi All

My engine is driving me around the twist!!!!!

My wife has a 99 'T' reg 5 door GTI 1.8 20v Turbo with the engine code of AGU. There is a misfire on it but we have checked the coilpacks, they're all working. We've put a new air mass, spark plugs and air filter on it, checked the compression, thats all fine. we've checked the injectors and swapped them around but we cant get a spark from number 3 spark plug/coil pack. Any ideas of anything else to check??? If not, there will be a cheap golf mk4 up for sale soon!!!!!!!!

Have you checked there is power to no.3 coil?

Can that be done with a test light??

If it hasn't, what might it be?

Might take you up on that offer if i cant solve it

Any multimeter will suffice.

Also check it has a good earth.

The wiring can crack up on top of the rocker cover due to heat so give it a good once over.

Just checked the power to the coil and there are 2 live wires when its running but havent checked the earth yet cuz ive just blown the bulb in the test light!!!!!!

just pluged it into a Sunn diagnostics machine and its bringing up 'LOW VOLTAGE AT COIL PIN 30'

Does anyone know what this means?

Found a brand new ignition amp on ebay yesterday and won it for 99p!!!!!!!! Drove from Bristol to Swindon this morning, got back, plugged it in and problem solved
