Heard they can cause problems, a guy I know his subaru set on fire from one of these

All they do it bypass the ignition switch

Thats what i thought, to delay turning it off, and linked to handbrake cable to stop theft?

Have no idea dont know anything about them to be honest, but he just left his car ticking over and the next thing you know it was bonfire nite. But that the only time ive seen it so most prob a one off.

I think ive heard about something similar before thinking about it, but could also happen driving down the road though..

i have had a couple of turbo timers never had any probs with them :smiley:

Apparently you have to lock door with key, not button.

Not a prob as i work out in sticks, could leave could leave car unlocked with door open and it wouldn't go anywhere tbh  :smiley:

they do work in golfs but i couldnt lock doors till after it switched off so just switched it off full time but the clifford remote start i had in a subaru has a built in turbo timer aswell :smiley:

No you can't lock the doors or arm the alarm until the turbo timer has done its thing, that's what annoyed me about mine,  you were just waiting around for it
