i've got a 'rocco 16v inlet sitting in my living room, right next to my jmr ported 16v head, neither of which are for sale

Pistons will probably be your biggest material expense (after the bahn brenner kit, if thats the route you're choosing) , Audi RS2 pistons will do the job.. im looking at getting some custom made for mine so that i can keep the oil cooling jets in the chambers though.
If i were you i'd leave your car running the 16v and build up the 16vg60 in a garage then just drop it in when done, easier to make things fit that way when (not if) you change your mind on the parts you're using
