Are there any chips for the 1.4 aex ?

Been thinking about chipping my little 1.4 as I can't afford to change for a gti in this current climate , are there any Chips available for them ?

McCain do one, they work best in biodiesel mainly though.

I've never done a 1.4 Golf but the couple of 1.4 polos i've done responded very well. Not massive gains but noticable and made getting up hills less of an effort.

Same here, did the wife's Polo 1.4 16v (AHW 75bhp).  Made almost 8bhp gain on the dyno, plot below and it just feels a lot sharper at the bottom and a cleaner rev band (more entertaining to drive).  My wife wouldn't even notice a flat tyre, but she noticed the remap.  So there must be something in it.  People shouldn't be so quick dismiss tuning cars that only make a small gain, everything is relative remember and there a few tricks up our sleeves that allow us to help improve the dynamics of the drive including sharpening up throttle response and even raising the rev limiters.

You can hardly see it in the pic, but the figure is 82.4hp on the bottom plot for engine HP
