well i own an early mk2 golf (1984 1.6 more door)
a few pics of the car since ive owned it
i have some big plans for the golf but 90% of them are pipe dreams for now, the main points i really need to sort on her is the small rust spots dotted around the back and front wings and clean up the engine bay as its proper nasty, over the last month or so ive been pullin what hair i have out over some dodgy running problems that i couldnt figure out.
one was lumpy running which turned out to be a dodgt NEW ht lead so that was replaced and the other was hissing noises and slight loss of power whenever i hit a 1% climb while out driving to which i replaced the carb gasket thinking that was the problem, when actually it was a vac pipe that connects to the inlet manifold (only found that after replacing the thin hard vac pipes with aquarium air line lol), since then its been running great and im happy (well to the point when i want more power).

a set of 4 155/55/14 nankang as-1 tyres (stretched on my gloss black teardrops)
10 and 20mm spacers
retrim the roof lining and cover all plastics, swap front seats to mk3 seats and retrim them and the rear bench to match the rest of the car
all serviceable parts replaced for new
stereo will be upgraded to 2 JBL GT-5 12" subs on a mono amp and fibreglass door pods holding 6.5" components, already have a 1.5DIN dvd unit (cheapy) whith multiple in/outputs (had to take the dash surround off to fit it) just need some cheap headrest screens so i can keep the kids happy on long journeys
engine wise i want to change from a crappy auto to manual, forget that i want big tubo power lmao and here is where the 90% pipedream comes in, always wanted to build a VR6 turbo mk2 after bein in a m8s one a few years ago or a 1.8 20vT
anyway that was a big hi from me lol will post up some pics in a build thread once things start happening which should be in the new year
