I've hosted various series throughout life on F3 and F4 and now I think its time to start a VW exclusive one. You dont have to join a club as this forum already has one
, all you have to do is sign up here and do your best to attend.
So.....
I will be hosting a VW Only series starting in January 2012. As some veteran racers may know, PI points are practically useless and it does not always mean that everyone is on fair ground. This is why the PI will be unlimited but there will be a 300 BHP limit. We have used the BHP limit in previous series and it has been fantastic, all drivers usually finish within a second each other. This makes the races tight, competitive and more importantly, fun.
Races will be held on a Wednesday at 8pm GMT as opposed to a Friday or Saturday when most people are going out for the evening.
Every six weeks/races, the series will restart. This keeps the series fresh and interesting.
There will also be practices during a week, these will be very short races designed to tune and tweak your car in preparation for the next event. See below for the rules and regs.
Rules:
The Car –
· Any VW
· Max of 300 BHP
· Minimum Weight 3000lb
· FWD Only. Drivetrain conversions are allowed if needed to make the car into FWD
· Vehicles can be changed between races, but we suggest for realism, you use the same one for a series (6 races). You can tune your vehicle between races as much as you want
The Assists –
· Simulation Steering - ON
· TSC – OFF
· ABS – Optional
· Stability Control OFF
· Driving Line – OFF
· Damage – Full
· Collisions will always be on
General Rules -
· Clean racing only
· No purposeful blocking
The Calendar
1. 12th Jan – Race 1, Circuit – Catalunya GP Circuit – 12 Laps
2. 18th Jan – Race 2, Timed (fastest lap wins) - Mazda Laguna Seca – 45 Minutes
3. 25th Jan - Race 3, Circuit – Road America – 10 Laps
4. 1st Feb – Race 4, Circuit - Iberian short circuit – 22 Laps
5. 8th Feb – Race 5, Timed (fastest lap wins) – Maple Valley – 45 Minutes
6. 9th Feb – Race 6, Circuit – Nurburgring – 3 Laps
7. 15th Feb – BONUS (optional attendance) – Drag Racing, Cat and Mouse, Virus and other fun times.
END OF SERIES, Next series to start in March with dates and tracks confirmed with feedback from series 1.

~ Please note that whilst these races will be ‘semi-serious’ they are also meant to be fun and a regular gathering for VW enthusiasts to enjoy racing others alike ~
