he says in the Steve jobs book that he doesn't and that at the time it was the right decision for him. It's easy to look back with hindsight but at the time he didn't have the money to risk on such a venture. Look at how many startup computer companies there were at the time (Apricot, Commodore, Osborne etc.) who knew that Apple, with a geek and a BO smelling hippy would be so successful.
