You can just get the stuff everyone uses from VW, it works well enough. I myself have used it before I went for an actual gasket.

Mine is aum, the sump fitment on all 1.8t are the same

I used the sealent you get from gsf much cheaper than ya dub dealer and better

i have used loctite instant gasket before now.. its pretty solid stuff.

Where can you buy this sump gasket you speak of? My sealant from VW was £17
