I wish I could find my thread about my neighbours from hell a few years ago, oh god what an episode that was!!  tried everything, never worked.  Most nights their music was SO loud the neighbours on the OTHER side of the road could hear it.  Police weren't interested and the council provide too much red tape to make it even worth attempting.

I know it's not an option for you, but in the end we found somewhere else and moved.  Landlord came over and begged us to stay, said he's kick the neighbours out if we'd stay instead.  Was too late by then though.

I say go softly softly first, you never know it might work.  You always have the option to step it up later on if it doesn't work.

all typres nbors can cause problems i being dominated by a 78yr old woman below me she moans if i make slightest noise past 10 or 11pm. but she dominates noise at 7am works both ways sigh. I cant stand having old nbors to stressful when only young. Seams councils areas seam get a random mix of nbors. My nbor is malicous and passive agressive it pretty grim tbh i ignore her ja.

I sure in your situtaion best try the landord or parent seee if they car or not. May not have choice to go e/h as you can soon loose your pateince and isnt a quick service they offer lol, music much easier get sorted living noise impacts is tough to sort need get them nbors ee it from ur point of view and stay calm as can with them.

I know that there are people who like this kind of music but I think you're approaching it from the subtle angle...just put this on a loop http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTpQOZcNASw&feature=youtube_gdata_player
