Parking Ticket
« on: 07 December 2011, 22:29 »
Chaps,

I got a parking ticket, again, but the parking officer has but in the wrong reg number on the ticket. They have however put down my tax disc number, can they trace me through this? Basically what Im asking is can I get away with not paying this?

Alan you are better off just pay it mate you know what they are like!
I've been in the same situation my ticket flew off the dash hit the floor when I shut the car door!
They had pictures of tax disc, reg and car dash everything to prove I didn't have a ticket on the dash!
I sent them the ticket to prove it and they just sent me there thick photo copy of the fine print saying unless a valid ticket is shown this is a chargable offense the fo*ckers waited until the ticket would go into the extra fine mode 10 days after so I had no choice to pay the dam thing!
Trust me better people have taken them on and lost!
Just want you to swallow it fella before they make you pay more!

Council ticket then pay, or private co then the contract to park was with the driver (which wasn't you ) unless they have a photo of you in the drivers seat which is most unlikely then bin bin and bin again!

Parking ticket is a legal document.  If it is not completed correctly, it is invalid.

Its gonna be council!
Guys what do you want Alan to do pay £30 or £60? or fight it and loose and pay for court costs over a £30 ticket which he got legit?
If he didn't deserve it, fight it all the way by all means!

i think the law is the law and whatever the law states is what he should do. if it's a legal document and it's filled out incorrectly then it's worthless.

In my experience: private, ignore all three letters. Council: bend the truth, be hugely smart and get away with it anyway.
