The w*nker in the front OS wheelarch with the drums has been sacked off tonight and a new wheel bearing installed.

This leaves me free to enjoy the delightful engine note.

Pulled the front valance off twice tonight:

Once coming off the ramp after the wheel bearing replacement.

Second when it was deployed on tug duties to drag the Vitarar$e down to the lower barn for furtling.

The valance just clips back on.

The drivers seat is now defined as 'not pleasant', due to a lack of lumber support.  I can only presume CL stands for ComfortLess.

Do the GTI front seats have adjustable lumber support, or are all Golf3s this uncomfortable?

Driving out to the barn this morning the front brakes did their first stink-out.  Unless I'm wrong some numpty in early 90s VW-land specified 256mm solid front brakes.  What a fool.

Driving back this evening the lights were perfectly adequate.  I am now more mystified by Golf3 owners insisting on nailing HID units into the headlights.  You lot must be blind - it's the only explanation for the HIDs and the purchase of a Golf3 GTI in the first place.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

The GTi seats aren't adjustable lumber but a billion times more comfortable.  Unlucky to not get 256 vented discs.

Where all my moneys went.
