blue temp sender
« on: 04 December 2011, 18:47 »
alright all i need some more advice

i changed the sender hoping to cure a splutter at low speed in 2nd gear whilst going over speed humps or around slow corners but now when i start it after a few hours of standing it struggles to tick over for a 30 seconds so unless i rev it then its fine.

the sender is brand new from vw and is black

whats going on?

So you've put a Black Sensor in the Blue Sensor socket???

So now you have 2 x Black senders??

Black sender - gauge only.  Can't affect running of car.
Blue sender - ECU only. Can't affect gauge. Badly affects running of digifants if dying/dead.

Only about £15 for the right blue one from the dealer,  025906041A.

SO if he has put in a Black sender on the blue plug there is no wonder he has running problems...

BTW - Blue senders are £15.94 plus VAT - Just bought some last week...
