any one replaced the orange surround piece that sits at the top of the entry point for the dipstick.
mine snapped off the other day ,just wana know hoew easy it is to change.

There are a few for sale on good ol' ebay. Not sure how easy or not it is to replace tho!  :wink:

Simple, they pull off and then just press the new one on until it clicks in to place . But make sure you hook out any of the broken pieces of the old one out of the tube other wise they will find their way into the sump which is not desireable ! :smiley:

hi guys mine broke aswell just popped down to my local vw breaker gave me a new one for free just a straight fit dudes pop off the old one thread the dipstick through the new one and pop it on job done!!

Sorted me thinks i was flapping for nothing. :embarassed:
About £1.50 from Vw pulled off the old one ,but got the old inner piece stuck in the top of the tube ,so got long wood screw and used the course thread to help pull old piece out ,luckily with out breaking anything and getting bits in the oil.
