If there wren't others on the road, why didn't you see it, then change lanes? A tyre's a pretty big thing not to notice in the road?

Black tyre.. black night and not enough thinking distance i was behind a lorry that just drifted over it  :undecided:

Just unlucky i guess. Suprised nobody else hit it. End of the day only my wallet was hurt so glass half full and that!

I think it took out my fuel pump aswell  the joys lol

They would have had to have changed the tyre at the side of the road. I'm not sure if the information would be available to you but call the AA/RAC/Green Flag and see if they were called out to a road side assistance to change a wheel? Slim chance but other than CCTV you wont have a leg to stand on...

Due to data protection I doubt very much whether the AA etc would pass on any details.

Unfortunately that is what insurance is for.

No personal details just if there was a call out so the OP can go through insurance for them to get the information.

My theory is the tyre couldnt have been their that long... so a quick spare wheel change could have take place

Cost me £195 for some trainers from trafford centre

Good point, worth a try if he is going to claim on his insurance I suppose. You can also try and phone the highways agency to see if the tyre had been reported by other motorists to narrow down the times.

There was nobody eles around and to add insult to injury the matrix above our heads the popped up telling us theirs 'debris in road'
If they could see the "debris" then couldn't they have a look back and see where it came from?
Currently pootling around in our family wagen, a Tiguan SEL 😂

Why don't you sue the tyre manufacturer as well. If it wasn't for them the tyre would have never been there.

Then you can sure the inventor of the wheel, if it hadn't been for them tyres wouldn't be necessary.

Anyone ever thought it could have fallen out the bottom of a 106 or similar? I've seen that happen - they're in a cage under the boot floor.

As for claiming, not a chance.  :nerd:
