Bloody hell it's a junior level job that pays, I thought everyone just got placement students for free these days?!?! Then wonder why they can't find experienced higher level staff!

free? hahaha.

The IT colleges round here want £230 a WEEK, £90 of which goes to the student and the rest the college pocket as a 'fee' for having trained the bod :undecided: Might as well just employ someone with no training and that's into computers for the same or a bit more !

I'd do it if it was more local not oxford

Surprised there's not many volunteers, how hard is it to tell people to press f1, f2 or del to enter bios set the boot order and then the magic windows cd will boot or will say "press any key to launch". Then installing PCI, AGP, PCI-E, HDD etc... is all easy, its like lego either the part fits or it doesn't, all the molex's have a set shape and with sata life has becomes easier with no need to play with jumpers to set CS MA or SL...

Not a show off, just give it a go at building a computer once, once you've done it you will be surprised how easy it is, especially when things nowadays have simplified somewhat, I remember when you use to have no standardized layout on front USB ports, each motherboard had a slightly different pin arrangement and you had to plug in 8-9 wires manually depending on the layout, then you had jumpers on the cd drives and hard drives with the IDE interface. Now usb is standardized with a set layout, with SATA there are no jumpers to adjust. Really old motherboards where a bundle of joys, they had so many jumpers that you would mistake it for a fire alarm panel.

Wish I could just relocate, but I only just got a mortgage a few months back. But I wouldn't mind working for a company with a future, being contracted the the court service's sucks donkey!
