Bless you for living in a terribley high priced area. Stick with the diesel though trust me, a guy who has owned 3 2 litres stay on the dark side

I wouldn't go back. Yea it's 30p cheaper but they don't go as far. I reckon it works out about the same cost now days.

Wouldnt go near a vectra if its got the Ecowreck engine in it, youll be filling it up with oil faster than fuel!
Defo stick with the 130pd

Plus i doubt it will even be quicker, pretty sure they are dog slow.

it purely depends how many miles you drive a year, if you can justify the costs petrol all the way. diesels are money savers, thats it

thanks everyone for your help.
but dont worry im keeping my golf  as i have found her a nice 52 plate golf estate with only 1 owner from new and fsh with the timimg belt just done.
got it from a friends mum who used it for shopping and going to her mothers who lived just over 100 miles away. she did this trip twice a month so it got a good run.
i have bought my mate a slab of beer for saving me the shame of driving a vectra.
2001 130 tdi.

I come from the vauxhall dark side

Gave my old corsa x16xe sh!t every day, done 70k in it with limited servicing, late night runs sat on 5k revs for 45 mins at a time and it still lives
After a mate had the vectra 2.0 ecowreck engine I pity the people who own them.
