What to buy the missus for her first car?...

What's the best kinda car to get a non-confident 20 yr old learner to drive about in?

I've offered to teach her outside of lessons, but there's no way in hell I'm letting her drive my lola around.. I love her too much (The car, i mean  :evil:)

Any ideas?

How about a MK3?

Built like a Battleship, and I doubt that anyone cares if it gets scratched.

She's completely car-thick. Just googled the 1.2 mk1 clio & liked it! Ugh.
