Cars you regretted selling (non vag conent warning!!!)

I regret scrapping my first mk2 - didnt know anything about mechanics at the time and scrapped it cos of a knackered shock  

I regret buying my mk4   (it was a non turbo though so that could be the reason)

Im glad I bought my MG ZR, opened my eyes to handling and dynamics that I hadnt known since my mk2 golfs.

Ford Escort GTi.

1998 model, had everything in it, electric everything, air con, the lot.

Was a much better drive than my golf, far more switched on car, more responsive, better gear box, was real fun to drive. After selling the Escort, I got the Golf as I always wanted a 1.8T and I was so so so so dissapointed with the MK4, truley dissapionted.

Edit, also miss my MK2 16V, so many memories with that wagon 

I was disappointed with my escort gti, found it too slow and dull. Can agree with you on it being better than a golf mk4 though.

Vauhall sennator, spent most of my childhood been dragged around rural lincolnshire in one of these. Love the back end of them and at the time the square exhaust tips were the dogs

XR4i, let it go for £400 before the add went into Fast ford and I got offered 2.5k
Got hate mail when i told them it was turned into a rally car in Ireland .
Volvo 240 GLT Turbo, that car was the nuts and cost me less to insure at 21 than a 1.3 Allegro
I miss that car it was a sleeper (and a barge)maybe why I like my Mk3)

Mk2 golf H reg tornado red van originally 1.3 but let go at 201 thousand miles so we fitted complete gtd conversion from a hard rear end smashed one complete with rare pas. jetta gti 16v front seats and small bumper gti arch kit rear and front spoiler, and 16v rear lights
