Newbie to VAG ownership

Hi all, just bought a 1989 Mk2 GTI 8v after reading the forums for a few weeks previously I decided to bite the bullet and sell my Vectra SRi that had nothing wrong with it to buy a shed lovely 8v for restoration and some tasteful modification....

 :grin: I hope not! I don't actually need a car now, so this is just going to be a long term project. Hopefully I can turn it around in under 12 months.. (fingers crossed!) I pick it up tomorrow so once its had a wash I can start stripping it to see how bad it really is  :evil:

Christ its been some time! I still don't drive this little f**k*r, but it's nearly the time! Get ready for ludicrous messages from me over the course of the week!
