Good idea in my eyes. Exactly as the man says, you can be a hell of a lot more productive without them. I'm not so sure I want to be that productive all the time though.......

sure my dad works for them

we have a msn type things called same time or something like that, basically me and a few of the other lads just use it to chatt when we cant be arsed to get out of our seats, its ok though, if management or anyone says out we have an excuse cause aparently the whole office is too grumpy and need to spend more time having a chatt and a laugh :D

have to agree though, proberbly a quater of my emails are the usual jokes/funny pics ect. must get about 3 a day atleast :D

however i hate talking on phones so 90% of the time if someone rings me i either dont answer or "accidently drop the phone and hang up" so they have to email me so if the company i work for do something like this ide hate it

I only use emails when/if a record of what I've said is needed or I can't get hold of people by phone, or cba to pick the phone up if I'm having "one of those days", otherwise I have my best clients & friends on MSN and talk to them, any joke emails go to my private email address and I see them when I check my private email.

Lync is what they want. But being French, and a bit stupid they'll get for some Linux based Opensource crapware and insist it's good stuff.
