First off, go here:

http://www.cs-media.co.uk/%7Ejames/vw/ice.htm

The grommet to go through is underneath the airbox around there. In the passenger footwell you will find a thick cable housing going through this grommit. Simply push a screwdriver through from the passenger footwell to create a hole for your wire. Then, get a wire coathanger or something like that, make it straight and poke it through into the engine bay, connect your amp power wire to this wire and pull it back through into the passegner footwell, obviously leaving enough length to connect to the battery.

Pull the kick panels up on the passenger side door trim and feed your wire through to the back.

Connect the power wire to the main positive terminal, not the fused terminals.

It's a pretty easy installation and thats how I did mine and you can't see power cable anywhere. I did have fun getting my phono's through to the back though and broke my drivers side alarm de-activate button pushing the cables through. Once your into the back of the car though, you can put yout cables under the back seat and feed them through to the boot from there. You will also need to find a place to ground your amp. I found an excellent place in the left of the boot where the CD changer goes if you donj't have one, as there is some lightly sprayed bodywork there with a nice hole. I rubbed that down and grounded there.

Hope that helps!
Graham.
