As above, set them off all the time. Normally if you set it off going towards it, by the time it flashes you are past it and you see the flash in the rear view.

Indeed, but no camera can flash you front on. It could cause you to crash, therefore negating its 'safety purpose'

No front facing camera will flash you, if it does it is not a front facing but a rear facing speed camera. All front facing cameras use an infrared flash as its illegal to use a full flash.
