then just turn up at your local circuit with a helmet and away you go. its as easy as that!!
local car forums are usually your best bet for finding out when & where trackdays are on.
all i would say is make sure your car is well prep'd. basically a service to make sure everything is spot on before you go out on track. trackdays will be a lot harder than any road driving you do nevermind how hard your where trying
