« on: 28 November 2011, 20:09 »
my mk3 came with an additional central lockin beepy fob thingy but the battery went and i replaced it and now it doesn't work. it was also connected to my immobiliser so it means i cant use my immobiliser unless i want the alarm goin off every time i oprn the car door. do i need to like reconnect the fob signal to the central locking system or what? i have no idea when it comes to this. cheers

Mk3s dont have alarm systems or remote central-locking as standard so it will be an after market system.

Best speaking to a alarm specialist.

Take your glove compartment out. The brain of the alarm is usually mounted behind there and should have some sort of manufacturer and model number on it.

Or behind the drivers side kick panel next to the accelerator pedal.
