Well I agree although if it's on the autobahn it's not madness at all to go past 200kph. I have no idea where the op is driving in the video though. Here in Norway it would be crazy to drive even half that speed with our curvy and dangerously narrow roads so it depends on the situation.

264kph minus 10% for speedo inaccuracy = 237.6kph = 147mph

Looks like the claimed top speed is spot on..  :smiley:

We're not promoting it.

We can plainly see in the first video that the OP is driving on the roads but we have no idea as to the speed limits on these roads and the general road condition. It could well be that it's the same 70mph limit as in the UK or it could be de-restricted like the Autobahn in Germany. Either way it remains an individual's choice how he or she drives their vehicle.

I'll leave it at that as I don't want to detract from the OP's thread and enjoyment of his car.

Boss, there is a right time and a right place to go fast... ish though.

I think that on a hot hatch forum the chances are a few people will have broken the speed limit. Not me of course I just use my phone while driving and I think that's ok unless your crap and can't drive in the first place.

I'm sure we all have, with the exception of one Red GTI maybe. It's just that I thought we were all grown up enough not to brag about it.
