Newbie with Edition 35
« on: 27 November 2011, 21:23 »
Evening Ladies & Gents. Myself and my good lady have just taken delivery of our new Golf Gti Edition 35 (on Friday night) so I thought I should join up and make myself known.

Originally we ordered a standard MK6 Gti but once we compared the spec of the Edition 35 against our specced up MK6 we found it was actually cheaper to go for the Edition 35 despite it being K04 equipped. Plus the benefit of my other half not being keen on the Monzo GTi wheels.

I've previously owned other VAG cars, the last one being a Lupo Gti back in 2004. Early opinion of the Edition 35 is that it's a fantastic, well integrated bit of engineering and a decent drive.

Looking forward to learning about the 'features' and quirks of the MK6 and getting to know a few fellow owners. Here's some pics following it's Wolf Body Wrap application at the weekend.

Thanks very much. I've got plenty to learn after 7 years away from owning a VAG car!

Cheers guys. The paint work was pretty good straight from the dealership. I gave it a spin over with a Lake Country Blue pad with some Wolfs 1N before the IPA wipedown and 2 coats of Wolfs Body Wrap. Seems pretty much swirl free but we'll see how long that lasts with the Mrs driving it. :)
