4Motion Front ARB Upgrade

Hi all

I have  been offered a front 4Motion front ARB for free.

Just wondering what if anyone has done this upgrade and what I need for the upgrade?

Im running Koni suspension and there is no attachment for the longer drop links so wondering whatI do?

Attatch it to your wishbones using standard droplinks if your in a 1.8t or diseasel..

A 4mo bar looks like a mk1 TT bar, and definately goes under D/Shaft on 4mo, not sure if anyone has fitted this exact bar to a 1.8t but i cant see how it wouldnt work when i was sniffing round Bricey's..

So my standard drop links will definately work?

I thought you had to get some custom ones fabricated as the 4Mo droplinks were the very long ones that run to the top of the strut rather than the shorter ones I have that go from wishbone to arb.

Exactly right, 4mo connects to struts like TT hence long droplinks.

1.8t connects to wishbones hench short ones.

Connect 4mo/TT bar to wishbones using your links, the actual mounting points end in same place so its a straight swap

Glad I stumbled on this thread, I've got arb to shaft contact. Was looking at the r32 arb but for the price and the fact our lass doesn't throw it about was gonna go go with a vrs front arb which I've been offered.

My question was would it fit but the answer is above as it's the same as the 4mo/tt arb.

Are the adjustable droplinks worth a punt 1st tho?

Sorry to revive this thread but i've just purchased a 4mo arb to go on my mk4 20vt. Just making sure its a straight swap.

Yes, worth buying new ARB bushes when you do it, get 4mo ones.
