Unless you live near a garage for merc and bmw i doubt you have seen 'plenty'

I agree though german is not the greatest. Jap is far superior, even then it still goes wrong.

i pass a bentley garage at least twice a day, I have seen PLENTY on the back of recovery trucks

most have tape over the number plates

Friends of mine have had French cars and it's put me off for life.

Pug 306 Diesel sedan - Intercooler issues, idling issues, rear suspension collapsed.

Xantia 2litre with active suspension - clutch cable snapped and they had to take half the car apart to fix it.

Xantia 1.9 Diesel - clutch issues (twice), wheel bearings

Xantia 2.1 diesel - cambelt snapped = mess!

Clio 1.4 Auto - headlights packed up several times, radiator issues, locking problems.

I appreciate that these are a lot older cars (most happened about 8-10 years ago but it was enough to stop most of them buying another French car! I will never knowingly buy a French car

Keeping schtum. Mostly.
