If you can stretch to it the Canon 7D is an epic unit for photos and video.  I have a mate with one with a 17-55 F2.8 lens that he uses for everything - the results are VERY strong.  The camera is also very well weather-sealed.

Na na na not listening.....  :lipsrsealed:

With six months warrantee that sounds good.  Has it been checked/tested at all?
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

im guessing so, when i sold a console to cex a few years ago they wouldnt give me money untill they had pluged it in and had a quick go of it to make sure it all works so im guessing they do something simelar with all electrical goods to make sure they work. and im sure if it doesent they would give me a refund (or atleast ide hope they do)

CEX is ok, but they're a technology shop, they seem to specialise mostly in games consoles.
Try this site, it's a proper camera shop, they fully test everything properly. It's also where I've bought both my DSLRs and lens.
http://www.lcegroup.co.uk/

My first Sony DSLR was £150 with kit lens, so there's nothing wrong with only spending that much.
The only issue with the 350D is it's only an 8Mpixel sensor, which will be fine for most stuff, but if you want to print big, you'll want more pixels. Also the 350D is getting quite old, so the mechanical parts (shutter and mirror) will be quite worn, but you can get them serviced.

Mpb as T_J_G has posted above are excellent. They even appear in the forum banner every now and again recently.

Nothing wrong with the 400D era of cameras from any of the brands. Infact I still shoot all my digi stuff with my 400D which is nearly 4 years old and has taken a proper hammering!

MPB doesn't seem to sell used DSLRs with lenses, so you'd have to price up a secondhand lens too. Although if you called them, they might do a deal on a DSLR camera body and starter lens.

Personally I've no experience of MPB because they only stock Canon and Nikon, which is no good for me.
The prices seem alright though.

Here's a 400D with kit lens: £299 http://www.lcegroup.co.uk/Used/Canon-EOS-400D-+-18-55mm-_46050.html
