DEEP DISH ALLOYS
« on: 22 November 2011, 15:44 »
Hi all,

Looking to get some new rims and currently looking at BBS CH Black with silver lip had the (CH in silver and they looked the nuts)

but my heads been swayed and i'm really considering a set of deep dish such as the BBS LM deep dish alloys, however i'm wondering if there is an alloy maker which  specifically makes deep dish.

I was on youtune the other day and saw a white mk5 with very deep alloys and it just looked the nuts.

Talk to me people, I need to get clued up on the deepdish scene!

Not a fan of deep dish on Mk5's personally, but BBS CH in black with silver lip look amazing.  Go with your original choice.

For BBS LMs you will need to get a genuine set to be able to swap dishes. IIRC JustMatz in the UK sell different size BBS dishes, but if a shop is selling genuine LMs they might be able to get you the dishes too.
Another deep dish wheel to look at is Work VS XX.
Not low enough mk5
Not on the road enough mk3

I had LMs on mine and loved them. Had to sell due to a pot hole damaged and thought it would be rude not to change to something different.

As for buying a genuine set you would need more money than sense. You'll have to sell your liver and kidney to afford a set. Mine were reps and did the job just fine. Anyone excuse to be a pic whore :D
