New GTD

 :smiley: I went ahead and ordered a new GTD on the 20/09/2011 with the following spec.

GTD 5 Door
DSG Box
Carbon Grey
Lux Pack
Parking Sensors

The following week the dealer called to tell me that the current confirmed build date is week 46, three weeks later he called to tell me that i have been upgraded with leather and bluetooth phone prep free of charge. At the end of week 46 he called to tell me that my car has been built and is currently waiting to be shipped to the UK.

He has also informed that the shipping to the UK will take a max of 10 days but should be less, getting the car from the port to the dealers will take 2-3 days and the dealer checks, plates and tax will take 2 days (approx 15 days from the end of build).

I have to say that the dealers in Derby have been excellent and from order to delivery for me will be around 11 weeks providing the ship does not sink!!!

I went with the standard wheels as the last few cars i bought i added lots of options to them but when i came to the px value the dealers said they were only good selling points so i am fed up with loosing a bloody fortune on cars.

I had a call from the dealer yesterday to say that my GTD is scheduled to be built in week 48 (next week)  :smiley: and that I could expect delivery in early January. If that's the case ten it will be approx. 11-12 weeks from order to delivery. I'm keeping my fingers crossed
