Help with Complaint..... Please Read :)
« on: 22 November 2011, 00:25 »
Hey guys, im wondering if any of you can help me.

Ive owned a MK6 now for 3 years in February. Unfortunatly its not a GTI tho :(

Anyway, since ive had this car, its been back to the dealers 3 or 4 times with problems. Broken passenger seat, creaks, knocks, crunching suspension, engine vibration, wind noise, creaky windows and windows that go up then back down again.

I thought that was bad untill the water came. Water got in the rear passenger side footwell last year, it was soaking, back to the dealer who then promised everything is better.

2 weeks ago we had some heavy rain and i decided since i was off work that i would spend an hour or 2 hoovering her. Whilst hoovering the rear passenger side footwell, i noticed it was completely saturated. Like if i pressed my finger into the carpet a little puddle would form. So after hoovering up the water for half an hour and spraying odour remover i was on the phone to the dealer.

Took the car in the following week along with a list of problems. I got the car back last Thursday after driving a crappy Fox :( - they did fix ONE thing, the engine vibration - which was the heat sheild.

I got home and lifted up the mat to see which looked like mould forming on the carpet, meaning it had to have been sitting for a few days.

Was off all weekend and I got into the car this morning to smell which can only be described as a wet, dead dog :( the carpet smell is discusting, even requesting that they replace the carpet and all padding underneath it.

Ive had just about enough, paying all this money for a Golf that stresses me out, im going to file a complaint to Head Office.

Whats the best way to go about with this? Theres a head office in "Milton Keynes" but i was told i could write to head office in Germany?

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

Thanks,

One seriously pissed off Golf owner :(

I'm is discussions with VW Customer Services at the moment regarding corrosion on my 2004 Passat. Tel: 0800 0833 920. Dispite not getting anywhere with my dealers, I have found them to be most helpfull.

What I would say, is ring and talk to them, rather than email. There are many other members of a Passat forum that I use, that have bombarded them with agressive emails and got nowhere. I, on the other hand am making progress with my claims due to being able to communicate on a more personal level. Voice to voice if you like.

Good luck. I'm sure with the car being so young you will get it sorted. You may even get to push for a free service or extended warranty as compensation.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

^^That's great advice.

When I had an issue with my MkIII Golf I sorted my issue(s) including an engine replacement by talking to (and building a professional relationship with) one of their customer service team.

This way, any misunderstanding was prevented and things were resolved more quickly as a result.

On the back of this thread I rang VW UK today to talk to them about my long standing alarm issue which has never been fixed. I now have a case manager who will ring back in the next 48 hours.

I thought I'd better do it before the warranty runs out next July so we will see what happens I was pleasant on the phone by the way, said how much I loved the car etc. just that I wanted it properly fixed.

On the VW site there is a contact page which shows the same number as dubber36 says Tel: 0800 0833 920.

There was a thread on another forum that talked about contacting VW and the stated an email address but I can't find it now.
